Welcome to The Yorkshire Speechie
We are an independent Speech and Language Therapy service dedicated to supporting families in our Wakefield-based clinic. Our team of specialist SLTs provides expert assessments and therapy in a warm, welcoming, and play-based environment designed to help your child feel safe, happy and ready to learn!
Have questions about your child's speech, language or communication skills? You can also book a free 10 minute consultation with our team. Please note that all new families require an assessment with our team, even if they have been seen by other services; this allows us to learn about your child's interests, how we can support your family and ensure that we collaboratively set targets based on their most recent assessment.
Our school-based support is now fully booked until July 2027. Our books will reopen for schools in Wakefield and Kirklees in April 2027 for the academic year 2027-2028.
