School-based contracts

We offer direct contracts with schools based in West Yorkshire, currently supporting around 20 mainstream and specialist settings, and pupil referral units. Our therapists collaborate closely with school Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCos) and Teachers In Charge, to deliver services precisely tailored to each school's unique requirements. This bespoke support package may encompass staff training, comprehensive student assessments, funding assessment contributions, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) support, program modeling, group therapies and direct therapeutic interventions. Our commitment to transparency allows schools to monitor student progress continuously, while staff benefit from accessible and reliable professional guidance.

Amy Holmes-Edwards (Teacher In Charge- Specialist provision)

"I cannot thank Rachel and Lydia more for their speech and language support for our pupils. They spend time in our classrooms really getting to know each child individually and their needs. They then create a comprehensive action plan to support each pupil with targeted interventions setting them realistic targets. Having been a SENDCo for a number of years, the work I have done with Rachel and Lydia has been invaluable. They support the whole process, training staff, explaining the purposes and helping create high quality resources as well as how to implement them into our busy classrooms."

Becky Crook

(EYFS Lead)

"As the class teacher, TYS have ensured that the referral process is easy and accessible, that the assessment is quick and that the summary report is so thorough and achievable for both teachers and students. If there is anything in the report staff are unsure of she's always on hand and willing to explain further, and has even delivered multiple sessions after school to support us- with colourful semantics and stammering. These sessions have been tailored perfectly so that we are meeting the needs of our students.
Amazing."

Ally Steel

(SENCo- Mainstream school)

"The Yorkshire Speechie provides us with ad hoc speech and language therapy, assessments and reviews for our students and we are so happy to have them with us. We were used to waiting on long waiting lists with very little help but Rachel has come in and transformed the way we help with speech and language skills in our classrooms. She shows us exactly how to do therapy as well as bringing her wealth of knowledge about what we can do to help our students meet learning goals. She is a joy to have in school and the kids all love her."
